Kaiako - Year 3 & 4

Kaiako - Franco Prisco

Kaiako - Jill Johnson

I have been teaching at Lincoln Primary School since 1998.  I grew up and was educated in Switzerland, and trained as a teacher in Dunedin. I have a passion for using iPads in my teaching. I enjoy playing chess and I organise the chess club. I am looking forward to working with a new group of Year 3 & 4 students this year. I am excited to help our students on their learning journey and give them the tools and skills to become future focused learners. In my spare time, I spend as much time as possible with my lovely wife and our children. Our oldest children are at University and the youngest one started school last year.
I moved from England to New Zealand in 2009 and feel privileged to live in beautiful Selwyn.  Previously, I taught in Germany, England and several schools around Canterbury.  I began teaching at Lincoln Primary School during 2017 and love working here.  This year I am working with Years 3 and 4 in Tarawhatu.
I have a musical background and enjoy making music and performing with children.  I learnt to play the Euphonium and Piano when I was very young and continue today as a member of Addington Brass.  We perform regularly in The Transitional Cardboard Cathedral and other venues, contesting annually around New Zealand.  I have a few enthusiastic piano students and love singing great choral classics in choirs when I have time to do so.  Once again I will be encouraging and supporting children who involve themselves in the various music ensembles on offer at Lincoln Primary School.  I hope to raise a senior and junior choir this year and enable the children to participate in Christchurch music events.
In my spare time I like to visit the cinema, dine out and explore New Zealand.  To stay healthy I enjoy walking, cycling and skiing.  I am married to Nick and together we have two fantastic grown up boys.  As a family we regularly support The Crusaders and The All Blacks.

Kaiwhakahaere Hapori Tahi - Learning Leader

My first teaching position was at Papakaio, a country school near Oamaru in 1994. I have taught in Oamaru, Christchurch, London and Lincoln. In 2014 and 2015 I trained and became the reading Recovery Teacher at Lincoln Primary School. At the end of 2015 Viv Butcher offered me an amazing opportunity to work with the gifted and talented children in our community, setting up the Gifted and Talented programme, Connecting Minds. I led the Connecting Minds programme for 5 years and loved being able to help children recognise and reach their potential. In 2020 I returned to Lincoln Primary School teaching a Year 8 class and being the Team Leader for Syndicate Four. This year I look forward to being the Team Leader for Syndicate Two and working with the Year 3/4 students, helping them each individually reach their potential. I have two sons, Henry age 17 and Albie age 14. In my spare time I enjoy watching my sons play sport, being outdoors, exercise, family and camping with my boys.

Kaiako - Ann An

Kia ora. I am from China and I moved to New Zealand in 2018. I graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2019 and joined Lincoln Primary School in 2020. This is my third year teaching in Syndicate 2 at LPS and I am looking forward to a fantastic year with my Year 3&4 tamariki. I believe that a great teacher can make a real difference in young children’s lives. I value the diversity of my students and respect each of them as a unique individual. My goal is to create a secure and caring learning environment in which the children can grow and mature emotionally and intellectually. Outside of school, I like dancing Zumba and also enjoy good food, cooking, traveling, singing and playing Ukulele.

Kaiako - Brooklyn Pupich

I am so excited to be joining Lincoln Primary School and the syndicate 2 team this year. I grew up in Greymouth and had a gap year after high school. I worked at a summer camp in Maine, USA which is when I decided I loved working with children. I moved to Christchurch to study teaching and have been lucky to work in both Greymouth and Christchurch as a teacher.
When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my friends and family, especially when we all go camping together at my favourite place - Totaranui. I also enjoy playing sports, board games, knitting and sewing.

Kaiako - Samara Brown

This is my fifth year teaching at Lincoln Primary and I am excited to be working in the Year 3&4 team. I feel very privileged to be a part of such a friendly and enthusiastic staff. Prior to moving to Syndicate 2 here at LPS, I worked in Syndicate 1 and Syndicate 4, I am looking forward to the opportunity of continuing working in the same year level as 2021 and I have the privilege of teaching some of the siblings of my past students and continuing the learning journey with them and their families. I am passionate about creating engaging and exciting learning opportunities for my students in all learning areas, particularly Maths, the Arts and P.E. This year I am continuing my Children’s University role within our school. I have worked previously in Ashburton, Burnham and Sri Lanka, at the year 2/3 level. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, exercising & playing sports, travelling and spending time with my wonderful partner, our dog Hank and our friends.
